Bangladesh country manager appointed (02/06/2008)

British Airways World Cargo has announced the appointment of Faisal Yaqoob as country cargo manager, Bangladesh, effective immediately.

Yaqoob will report to Johnny Rubio, area commercial manager Middle East, central Asia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and will be responsible for all commercial and customer service activity in the country.

Having worked for the carrier since 2004 in a variety of commercial and customer service management roles, Yaqoob most recently acted as commercial manager for Pakistan.

On his new appointment, Yaqoob said: "This is an exciting time for BA World Cargo in the region and we have experienced significant growth in neighbouring areas of the Middle East, India and Pakistan. I look forward to helping BA World Cargo replicate this success in Bangladesh."

Rubio said: "Faisal brings a wealth of experience to this role, having excelled at managing commercial and customer service activities in his previous positions. His track record of successfully delivering product growth in Pakistan has immensely contributed to our strength in the region and I am confident that our business in Bangladesh will also flourish under his direction."
