Statement on fuel surcharge (30/05/2008)

British Airways World Cargo has announced an increase to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.75 / USD1.15 / EUR1.15, with effect from 13 June 2008.

The fuel surcharge increase follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been above the level 23 threshold. The index was developed by BA World Cargo to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated on a weekly basis and posted on this website.

Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, British Airways World Cargo, said: "Fuel prices continue to climb and as a result it is necessary to increase our fuel surcharge, in line with the index."
